Sunday.je is an early-stage local directory site, run by a small team. This page explains, in plain terms, what happens to information connected with the site. It will evolve as the site does — the version below reflects how Sunday.je works today.

Information we collect

You don't need to create an account or submit any personal details to browse Sunday.je. If you contact us — for example, by email — we'll have whatever information you choose to include in that message, such as your name and email address. We use it only to respond to you.

If you use “Report incorrect information” on a listing, we keep what you send — the issue you choose and any note you add — so we can check that listing. The form doesn't ask for your name or contact details, and we don't store your IP address with the report.

If you use “Request a listing”, we keep the business details you send and your email address so we can review the request and reply about it. Your email isn’t shown on the site or added to any mailing list.

Sunday Favourites

If you mark a listing as a Sunday Favourite, your browser keeps a small first-party cookie that remembers which listings you've marked, so we can show them on your My Sunday Favourites page. Your favourites stay in that browser: they aren't linked to an account and don't follow you to another device. It holds only a signed list of listing identifiers — no name, email or other personal details — lasts up to a year, and isn't used for advertising or to track you on other sites. Clearing your cookies removes it. Sunday.je itself stores only the total number of Favourites for each listing, not who made them, and no IP address is stored with a Favourite.

Server logs and analytics

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record basic technical information when you visit — for example your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested — for security and reliability purposes. Sunday.je also uses Umami Analytics to understand basic website usage, such as page views and traffic sources. If how we use analytics changes, this page will be updated first.

Images and hosted files. Photos and illustrations on Sunday.je are stored and served by Cloudinary, our image host. When a page shows them, your browser fetches them from Cloudinary’s servers, which, like any web server, receive basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type. We don’t use Cloudinary to track you.

Information submitted by businesses

When a business is listed on Sunday.je, or gets in touch to add, update or correct a listing, we hold the information needed to publish and maintain it — for example the business name, address, opening hours, and contact details. This information is used to operate the directory and may be displayed publicly on the site.

Links to other websites

Sunday.je links to business websites and other external resources for your convenience. We aren't responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and we'd encourage you to check their own policies before sharing any information with them.
